“Is it possible for machines to show solidarity?”
“Who’s going to pay my medical bills in the future?”
“Will all my data soon belong to Google and the like?”
…these and related questions are the focus of the Science Café: Solidarity in the age of artificial intelligence.
What is a Science Café?
A Science Café is a current form of science communication. Its core idea is to exchange ideas on a specific topic with interested people and invited experts in a comfortable coffee atmosphere. It is open to anyone who is interested in the topic and would like to discuss it over a cup of coffee or a glass of wine.
How does the Science Café work?
Our experts Prof. Dr. Peter Dabrock (Chair of Systematic Theology (Ethics) and Chairman of the German Ethics Council) and Prof. Dr. Alena Buyx (Chair of Ethics in Medicine and Health Technologies and member of the German Ethics Council) will give short lectures to set the mood for the topic of Solidarity in the Age of Artificial Intelligence. Afterwards, you will have the opportunity to ask questions in a plenary session or to join in the discussion with your table neighbors.
Then be there, on 01 April 2020 from 8:00 p.m. in the coffeehouse Kaffeebohne Fürth (Gustavstraße 40, 90762 Fürth)! We look forward to your coming and to discussing with you!
